He is passionate about social entrepreneurship, youth and education and believes in creating a positive impact in the community by individuals taking responsibility to solve some of the social problems. Through his leadership, AEN will provide a platform where entrepreneurs will provide solutions to social challenges.

Dr. Chandaria founded the Kariobangi Community Project; a Social Enterprise Project where 8 leading corporate companies, Un agencies and the Civil society work together through a shared value approach to impact lives of the Community members. In addition, he created the Chandaria Foundation which has endowed Chandaria School of Business at USIU, Chandaria Centre for performing Arts at University of Nairobi and Chandaria Business Innovation and Incubation Centre at Kenyatta University that seeks to help students nurture their skills and knowledge.

He is the chairman and CEO of Comcraft Group of Companies, a business conglomerate that has presence in over 40 countries throughout the world. He is also the founding chairman of Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), an umbrella body representing over two hundred sectors and organizations, the East African Business Council, and also a former Chairman of the Kenya Association of Manufacturers. He has served on various Government commissions for reducing poverty, promoting economic development and reforming the government and has won several awards in Kenya, East Africa, and Internationally in recognition of his philanthropic work.

Professor Mullin is a former UK Member of Parliament and a Founding Director of Momentous Change Ltd. As a Member of Parliament, Professor Mullin was a Treasury spokesperson with a strong interest in international development. He introduced a private members bill to tackle the unjust basis of double taxation treaties which often discriminated against economically vulnerable countries.

He also campaigned in parliament (and continues to do so), against business criminality, including in relation to money-laundering and corruption. He therefore brings a reputation for high ethical standards in the conduct of business. Professor Mullin has many years of experience in designing and delivering education programmes, including for business related degrees such as MBAs. He has specialized in Judgment and Decision Making, Organisational Change and the Political Environment. He was appointed in 2016 by the First Minster of Scotland to the Scottish Growth Commission, focusing on the development of policies for sustainable and inclusive economic growth. He has run a number of consultancy businesses, previously undertaking assignments in a number of African countries for bodies such as The World Bank, and a variety of United Nations agencies including UNDP, UNFAO, and UNESCO. His work has included assisting in the development of programmes for marginalised groups, such as young people and those living in extreme poverty.

Michelle Thomson is a business woman, with a passion for mentoring young women and is particularly keen to support the role of young women in social enterprises. She has extensive experience of working in financial services, banking, property and the creative sector.

Michelle is a former member of the UK Parliament where she was a leading member of the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Select Committee. Since stepping down from Parliament she has been appointed as Ambassador for the cross-party group on “Fair Business Banking”.  She has a very strong interest in ensuring that new and small enterprises are fairly treated by the financial sector. Michelle has been recognised as an ‘Inspiring Woman” by the UK’s Management Today journal.  She achieved huge acclaim when making a speech in parliament on her experience of being raped as a teenager, and how that had a profound effect on her life. Michelle is also a Founding Director of Momentous Change Ltd along with Professor Mullin, and has recently been researching the likely effect on business of the UK decision to leave the European Union. Michelle is also an accomplished musician having started her working life as a classical pianist before changing career and moving into business and politics.
