Mr.Vincent Rapando is a Social Entrepreneur and a Strategic Partnerships and Resource Development advisor with over 10 years’ experience in International Non-Profit Organizations. He was the Secretary General of the Global Peace Convention (GPC) 2010 host committee under the Patronage of H.E President Mwai Kibaki that steered in the hosting of the GPC that attracted over 1300 delegates from 40 nations around the world to discuss peace and development issues. He managed to ensure the safe running of the Global Peace Foundation-Kenya (GPF-K) by achieving a number of milestones which include; Mobilizing funds to support the ongoing programs.

He was the Secretary General of the Africa Conference on Volunteer Action for Peace and Development (ACVAPD) 20112 host committee that successfully organized a conference in partnership with UN agencies, public and private sector, civil society, regional economic blocs and international organization that established the East Africa Peace Service Corps. In 2013, he positioned Global Peace Foundation-Kenya in the nomination of United Nation (UN) Award in recognition of its outstanding work on sustainable development and youth for peace. He is the founding coordinator of corporate foundation roundtable where corporate foundations, United Nations agencies, Government agencies and the civil society meet to discuss joint social enterprise programs through a shared value model approach. In 2009, he successfully led a Kenyan youth delegation to the UN Youth Assembly in New York at the UN Headquarters. He has also organized and participated in high level briefings to the White House in the USA, State Department, Brooking Institute think thank and many business meetings world-wide. In addition, he is  the founding Director of African Entrepreneurial Network Ltd (AEN) which is a “for profit Social enterprise” company formed under the blue print of social entrepreneurship – ‘Building Businesses: Enriching Lives’. AEN comprises of entrepreneurial leaders, who are scaling social and business ventures across various sectors. He holds an MBA in Global Social and Sustainable Entrepreneurship from United States International University-Africa, Post-graduate Certificate from Colorado States University, an executive certificate from Freeman Spogli Institute for International studies at Stanford University in conjunction with Strathmore Business School in the;Role of Public Policy in Private Sector Development program and a BSC in International Business Administration Finance option from United States University-Africa. Further, he was also appointed by the Kenya Government specifically by the Principal Secretary the Ministry of East Africa Community, Labor, and Social Protection in Particular State department of Social Protection as a member of the technical Ad hoc committee to support the annual volunteer of the year award and spearhead programs and activities planned by the National standing committee on volunteerism. He is also the Past Chairman United States International University(USIU-A) Alumni Association, Founding Trustee Africa Peace Service Corps Trust, Board Member, Director of Community Service and Treasurer Lions Club Runda among other charitable initiatives.
